Our Recording Philosophy:
Our general approach to
our work is to make our guests as comfortable as possible, in order to make as
clean a recording of the project as we can. We try to stay out of the way as
much as possible, and to allow the players to play the way they are used to
playing. When we push the playback button, our goal is for the client to hear
the most exact reproduction of their performance that we can provide. We try
to provide a digital audio "mirror" showing a completely true
reflection. Once we reach that point, we can easily use the studio's tools to
add or subtract any tonal or textural coloration or effect to suit our
guest's tastes. And with our ability to record audio cd's on the spot, the
crystal-clean digital sounds of your recorded master can be played back on
any cd player the world over, with predictable presence and clarity.
We want you to leave our facility satisfied that your
finished product meets your needs, your specifications, and your
budget.
Our Equipment
Audiomind Incorporated's remarkable state-of-the-art equipment gives
incredible results. We sequence midi and record audio directly into a Macintosh G5 computer using Mark Of The
Unicorn's award-winning Digital Performer
software. Synthesizers we keep on site have famous instrument names like Alesis (D4), Roland (TD7, SPD-20, JV1010), and Yamaha (VL70M), and we have a whole host of
software-based synthesis engines. Effects processors are incorporated into
both Digital Performer and our powerful mixer. All recording, mixing, and
mastering is done through our unbelievable all-digital fully automated
phenomenal mixer, Mackie's
Digital 8 Bus (d8b). Finished recordings are digitally mastered.
